Where to begin???

I'm just going to jump right into it...

We had SOOOO MUCH FUN on our little getaway to Denver. First time trip without kiddos = AMAZING!!! But don't worry, we came back.
Here we are - first pic of the trip in our little rental car - it was 23* F when we pulled into Denver - YOWZA! We loved actually getting to use our coats.

Pete getting ready to head off to our first day at the conference.
He looks so dashing wouldn't you say??

Us together heading out the door. It was so fun to dress up like I was actually some sort of business woman - pashaw! If they only knew what a wore to my real job, haha

We took an afternoon to drive to Castle Rock to visit our old stomping ground when we lived there back in '06/'07. Here's our little apartment - 3rd floor on the right that is.

It was so great just to be us again - it feels like it's been FOREVER.
Wait, it has. Not since our honeymoon in fact.

So yes, we are a little nerdier than we remember, but still loving it.

Here's our snazzy little hotel room. Hotel Teatro in downtown Denver - it was AWESOME! It was just this little renovated theatre district building but it was AMAZING. Thank you Priceline!

And here we are getting ready to head home. It got me really excited to go on our 5 year anniversary trip in April! And even the kids survived... thanks Mom!

After we got back the stresses of the world that we had let go hit us full force in the face, so that weekend we decided to take a 1 night trip up to the cabin to reconnect with the kids. SO FUN!
I still remember climbing up these bunk beds when I was that exact age - crazy!

Oh little Cal, he is turning into a little boy TOO FAST!
He LOVES the outdoors.

Some sibling discovery adventure.
Badminton raquet required.

Paige had her next preschool fieldtrip in late October to the Phoenix Zoo.
It was actually a lot of fun! Cal and I were glad to tag a long.

The joy of petting zoos.

Paige catching a ride.

October is also Peter-Patrick's Birthday!!!
Happy 29th P-daddy!
We had a fantastic early morning picnic in our room, complete with Munchkin donuts, FrankenBerry (pete's fave cereal) and Rasspberry Lemonade.
Not to forget all of our bed-heads...

Paige's "crazy hair" as she likes to call it.

Me and Cal soakin' up some donut time.

And later when we were making the cake, I turn around to find little Miss Paige - mouth full on the cake whisk! My sneaky little helper...

Such great memories!

Falling for Fall

This week went by all too fast, yet again. Last Friday we went to a little family Halloween party at the Power Ranch YMCA. It was fun to get the kids all dressed up and go out together. Such a great community over here!

General Conference was definitely a highlight. Attempting to watch it with kids is always a fine challenge - but we managed and enjoyed it quite thoroughly. The kids actually did pretty well and I love that Paige is at an age where she can recognize the Prophets and Apostles. Makes me feel like I'm doing something right, haha

Other than that we're just kind of getting some fall decor up here and there and LOVING the beautiful weather!!! Finally, our day as Arizonians has come!

Enjoying our first meal made on our grill - thanks Forbis's!

Our non-messy version of "pumpkins". The kids don't know they're missing out on anything and they're still cute! Did I mention non-messy???

A little doorway shot after FHE pumpkin night.

Paige and Calvin wanted to decorate some cards for
their far away grandparents - had lots of fun!

Don't worry Cal, I promise not to tell
anyone that you snuggle with your sister...

Ever since we put his puppy costume on he WILL NOT go without wearing
his hat around the house. Good thing it's so darn cute.

And this is what I found today after telling her to relax on her bed while I put Calvin down for his nap. All pooped out in pearls and books...

So that's us this past week. And this Sunday night Pete and I take off to Colorado for 4 days!! He's going for a business thing and I get to come along! I AM SO EXCITED!! First trip without the kiddies, EVER! This is gonna be great! But I'll miss my little boogers...
a little...

Wedding Bells

Big happenings this week include:

Fieldtrip to the Fire Station! Paige's preschool fieldtrips are always a highlight, and this was another great adventure! So funny to watch all those kiddos...

Jordan and Kaitlyn got married on Friday, September 25th. It was soooo wonderful. Such a sweet ceremony and had a WAY fun time at the reception and such. The kiddies were so cute all dressed up!

On Sunday I was sustained the new Primary President in our Meadowview Ward... AHHH! Crazy! But I am so excited and feel so humbled that the Lord feels that I'm the person for this job at this time. We'll just have to see how it goes with a ward that has over 250 Primary children! I'm just relieved I don't have to keep it a secret anymore, haha...

Started Friday off with a shave for Calvin
Paige outside the Firehouse... looking thrilled

Paige hid in terror from the masked firefighter, but all the other kids LOVED it. She kept covering her ears saying "I don't want to hear him breathe!" Pretty funny.

A little howdy-do from inside the firetruck

They were SOOOOO happy - I LOVED it!
Such a beautiful duo!
Our little fam pic at the reception, which was SO FUN!
Does it get better than little boys wearing bowties???
I think not...
Ganky and Pop Pop with all the little Bluth grankiddies.
Talk about a party!

Patrick took the kids back over to my parents that next Saturday morning for a swim party while I stayed to work on Primary stuff. Looks like the had a great time!

Oh the days of not caring about sand in your pants...

And this is what happens when
Grandma's costume closet gets broken into...

Week 1

This past weekend we headed up to the Bluth cabin for a big ol' Lynden and LaRee Bluth Family Reunion - it was actually lots of fun! Calvin and Paige couldn't have been happier in the outdoors - it definitely makes me want to start camping as a family. The weather was beautiful and we had a good time reuniting with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Great-Grandma Bluth, Grandpa Bluth, and the kiddos gettin ready for bed. Paige and Calvin ready to head out in some major rain!

Killer boots Cal...
Paige enjoying some pinata festivities.
And Calvin reaping the pinata rewards...
Calvin and Grandpa Bluth playing some ball.

We came back Saturday night to be home for Sunday - crazy Primary stuff always keeping me busy! Had great weekend just spending good quality time together as a family. It just doesn't feel like we get a lot of that these days with life being so crazy like it is. Our moments together are definitely life's treasures.
Calvin was so tired he just crawled up onto Paigey and
before we knew it he was out! Adorable!

Tonight (wednesday) Paige and Patrick had their Daddy-Daughter Date. SO SWEET! She got to pick what they did: went and got some mac & cheese (Paigey's fave) then played at the San Tan Mall playground, headed tot he Disney store to check out all the princess paraphernalia, then home to snuggle with Mom and Dad to watch Hannah Montana, The Movie. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Paige or us... We had fantastic time! I just love our precious moments.

Paige showing Patrick the special picture for their date that she worked on all day.

Look at Paige - little woman!! In the meantime Pete is holding off a
screaming Cal out of the picture...precious, haha
