Week 1

This past weekend we headed up to the Bluth cabin for a big ol' Lynden and LaRee Bluth Family Reunion - it was actually lots of fun! Calvin and Paige couldn't have been happier in the outdoors - it definitely makes me want to start camping as a family. The weather was beautiful and we had a good time reuniting with aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Great-Grandma Bluth, Grandpa Bluth, and the kiddos gettin ready for bed. Paige and Calvin ready to head out in some major rain!

Killer boots Cal...

And Calvin reaping the pinata rewards...

We came back Saturday night to be home for Sunday - crazy Primary stuff always keeping me busy! Had great weekend just spending good quality time together as a family. It just doesn't feel like we get a lot of that these days with life being so crazy like it is. Our moments together are definitely life's treasures.
Calvin was so tired he just crawled up onto Paigey and
before we knew it he was out! Adorable!

Tonight (wednesday) Paige and Patrick had their Daddy-Daughter Date. SO SWEET! She got to pick what they did: went and got some mac & cheese (Paigey's fave) then played at the San Tan Mall playground, headed tot he Disney store to check out all the princess paraphernalia, then home to snuggle with Mom and Dad to watch Hannah Montana, The Movie. I'm not sure who enjoyed it more, Paige or us... We had fantastic time! I just love our precious moments.

Look at Paige - little woman!! In the meantime Pete is holding off a
screaming Cal out of the picture...precious, haha

A New Beginning

I've done the blogging thing before. Had some ups... had some downs... then took a break.

I feel that I've sufficiently rebooted and have had time to think about the true purpose of my blogging. Ya, the friend connecting thing is a major plus, the sharing of random facts is fun too... but to give me purpose and limits I've defined my blogging purpose as our Forbis Family Journal.

So no more privacy/invite battles, no more self competition of posting. Just me, filling the void of journaling with weekly reports of our family and our happenings. Let the records begin.
